The Annual Female Nation Survey Revealed

By Hlulani Masingi

On 13 October 2014, Women24.com released the findings of their annual Female Nation Survey, which called on women across the country to participate. The survey was designed to get the opinions of more than one million South African women regarding the following topics:

  1. Life

  2. Love

  3. Finance

  4. Relationships

  5. Politics

  6. Sex

Lili Radloff, Editor of Women.24 says, “In a society where women are still largely underrepresented, and even taken for granted, we wanted to provide a platform where our views could be expressed freely.” Radloff adds that they truly believe that through this annual survey, they have gained remarkable insight into the average South African woman.

This year’s survey uncovered fascinating findings such as: 59% of women believe that there still is gender inequality in the workplace, whilst approximately 21% said they would marry for money. According to Radloff, women’s outlooks are shifting at a rapid pace, and Women24.com is happy to be able to better understand where South African women stand today.
